The North side houses 37 patients, and the South side houses 36 patients. There are two negative pressure rooms with an anti-room. There is a pharmacist present on the unit to assist the RNs with medication questions/concerns. Multidisciplinary rounds occur every Monday through Friday. Rounds involve all aspects of the healthcare team, including the patient and family. Specialties include general, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, vascular, and other minimally invasive procedures designed for faster recovery and greater comfort. Care goals are designed to reduce pain, limit complications, and help patients return to normal activity sooner. Other duties as required Overview Kelemen 10 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients who have various needs and disease processes. Both North and South 10 have Telemetry capabilities for our patients. Each side houses 36 patients to a maximum of 72 patients. South 10 has a 12-bed Intermediate Care Unit embedded within the 36-bed unit. INCU has critically care-trained RNs who support the patient's needs and care for ventilated patients. South 10 also has 2 negative pressure isolation rooms with an anti-room that is used when needed for specific isolation needs. We do multidisciplinary rounds Monday – Friday. This involves the patient in their care and allows the team members to collaborate with the patient to give them the best possible care and appropriate discharge to home or other facilities. We have a pharmacist who has an office on the unit to assist the RNs when needed to help avoid delay of care to any patient. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. Overview The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper University Hospital is a pediatric facility that consists of several units that meet the diverse needs of pediatric patients: Pediatric unit, Pediatric Intermediate unit (PIMU), Pediatric Kostic Infusion Room (PKIR), and Pediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU). We provide care for pediatric patients aged 0 to 18 years. We offer subspecialty services through consultation and referral in areas such as Endocrinology, Genetics, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Otolaryngology, Pediatric Surgery, Trauma, and Hematology. Overview Kelemen 10 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients who have various needs and disease processes. Both North and South 10 have Telemetry capabilities for our patients. Each side houses 36 patients to a maximum of 72 patients. South 10 has a 12-bed Intermediate Care Unit embedded within the 36-bed unit. INCU has critically care-trained RNs who support the patient's needs and care for ventilated patients. South 10 also has 2 negative pressure isolation rooms with an anti-room that is used when needed for specific isolation needs. We do multidisciplinary rounds Monday – Friday. This involves the patient in their care and allows the team members to collaborate with the patient to give them the best possible care and appropriate discharge to home or other facilities. We have a pharmacist who has an office on the unit to assist the RNs when needed to help avoid delay of care to any patient. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing. Telemetry monitoring is available in 10 of the unit beds when needed. The nursing staff provides caring, individualized attention to all patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with collaborative interdisciplinary team members. Short Description Responsible for performing non-stress testing, phlebotomy for genetic testing, assisting with procedures performed by the perinatologist and provides post procedure instructions to the patient and documents all aspects of patient care.
