San Luis Valley Health has opportunities for RNs to pick up PRN shifts with an enhanced pay incentive!   Qualified nurses in this “Float” role will provide nursing care to patients in assigned units, demonstrating the ability to triage and assess patient needs to ensure adequate care and nursing standards are met, observing and initiating appropriate nursing treatments, and reporting symptoms and conditions of patients to treating providers. 

Guaranteed Interview for any licensed Registered Nurse- Thursdays 1:30pm-4:00pm


Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing, required. BSN, preferred.  
  • Current active Colorado Registered Nurse license or Compact State License.   
  • Current Certifications, including BLS, PALS, ACLS and/or TNCC.

Guidelines for PRN Float Staff: 

  • Workers compensation is provided, as well as a minimum of 48 hours Sick Leave per year. May be eligible for other benefits depending on hours worked.  
  • PRN Staff qualify for shift differentials, overtime, call back, holiday pay, merit pay, market adjustments, and years of service awards.
  • Employee will schedule themselves to open shifts, staff are encouraged to inform department leader proactively about their availability
  • Once the assignment has been made, the nurse is committed to fulfilling the staffing requirements for their designation for at least three published schedules

Departmental Overview Compensation $27.83- $45.46/hr based on previous work experience + $2.50 PRN I differential - 3 shifts per 6 week schedule. $35 flat rate PRN II - 6 shifts in a 6 week schedule. $42 flat rate PRN III - 12 shifts in a 6 week schedule.
