Responsibilities

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you’ll be at the forefront of providing top-notch mental health care. You’ll work directly with clients and their families, conducting evaluations, managing medication therapies, and offering psychotherapy and counseling. Your expertise will help us ensure the highest standards of safety and continuity of care!

 

Your Day-to-Day Adventures Will Include:

  • Team Spirit: Collaborate with an amazing mental health team while overseeing the psychiatric care of your own caseload of clients.
  • Client Connections: Conduct evaluations and manage your clients through engaging direct care encounters. You’ll prescribe medications, order labs, and provide essential education to clients and families.
  • Documentation Dynamo: Keep our records in tip-top shape by completing assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within 24 hours. Your attention to detail will help us maintain our high standards!
  • Care Continuity Champion: Connect with other providers to gather important client histories and ensure smooth transitions during admissions and discharges.
  • Team Meetings & Training: Attend fun and informative treatment team meetings and training sessions to keep your skills sharp and your knowledge fresh.
  • On-Call Hero: Share in the on-call responsibilities for our residential programs, ensuring our clients receive the care they need, when they need it.
  • Communication Wizard: Maintain excellent communication with your clinical team, outpatient providers, and family members to create a supportive environment for our clients.

Qualifications

What you will bring:

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required.
  • Licensure: Licensed & Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
  • DEA License: Current DEA license is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of at least three 3-5 years of Psych. NP practice experience and working with adolescents & young adults required.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience working with clients in a residential or psychiatric treatment setting is strongly preferred.

Salary range for this role is $166,400k - $185,000k, and based on years of practice experience and education.

Some General Cardiology work is expected. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding and well-supported team. Work closely with an Electrophysiologist who is willing to train. You will have the opportunity to scrub in EP procedures with the provider. Position involves some General Cardiology coverage but is primarily EP.
