Registered Nurse School Setting in Houston, TX

A healthcare role is available for a Substitute Registered Nurse to support a school in Houston, TX on a contract basis. This position requires a compassionate and skilled RN with experience in school nursing to provide essential health services and ensure the well-being of students.

The assignment runs from January 21st to February 6th, 2026, for 35 hours per week. The nurse will play a key role in administering medications and assisting in the health room, working closely with staff and students to manage health concerns efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer prescribed medications to students according to established protocols
Assist in the daily operations of the school health room
Monitor and assess the health status of students and provide appropriate care or referrals
Maintain accurate health records and documentation
Communicate effectively with school staff and parents regarding student health issues
Respond promptly to health emergencies or incidents

Desired Qualifications:

Current RN license with valid credentials to practice in Texas
Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
Strong knowledge of medication administration and health room procedures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
