Registered Nurse School Setting - Blue Springs, MO

Step into an engaging school-based role supporting students across PreK-12th grade as a contract Registered Nurse. This position offers a dynamic work environment rotating between various campuses, ensuring every day is both rewarding and different. The assignment will run from an immediate start through the end of the school year, with a possible opportunity to extend into the Extended School Year (ESY) program in June.

What were looking for:

  • Active RN license in Missouri in good standing no discipline/hits on license
  • Strong pediatric experience (ICU, ER, or school nursing highly preferred)
  • Adept with technology for computerized charting and multitasking
  • Recent hands-on clinical experience (no new grads)
  • Flexible and adaptable in scheduling, with clear and effective communication skills
  • Willingness to float between multiple school sites, cover field trips, and handle the full scope of a health room independently after initial training

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary RN on site, managing the health needs of a diverse student body from PreK through high school
  • Move between campuses as needed, sometimes visiting more than one site per day
  • Provide care for field trips as the assigned RN
  • Deliver timely and accurate electronic documentation
  • Prioritize flexibilityweekly schedules will be provided on Sundays but may shift daily due to field trips or call-outs

Assignment highlights:

  • Work up to 35-40 hours per week through the end of the school year; ESY hours in June are Monday-Thursday, 22-25 hours per week
  • Start time and end time vary by school level, typically between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
