Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing RN to join our skilled nursing facility in Canton, OH. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the management of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting

  • Develops and implements policies, procedures, and programs to promote patient care and staff development

  • Coordinates and conducts quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

  • Fosters a culture of patient-centered care, empathy, and compassion among all staff members

  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care

  • Participates in facility-wide leadership meetings and contributes to strategic planning and decision-making

  • Develops and maintains relationships with patients, families, and external healthcare partners

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Ohio

  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role

  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in gerontological nursing

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
