About Us

Robinson Terrace is a 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center committed to providing exceptional care to our residents while supporting and developing our team. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse Educator to lead clinical education, training, and staff development initiatives across our facility.

Position Summary

The RN Educator is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing clinical education programs to ensure staff competency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality resident care. This role plays a key part in onboarding new hires, supporting ongoing staff development, and driving quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead orientation and onboarding for all nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)

  • Develop and deliver ongoing education and in-service trainings

  • Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, CMS, and facility policies

  • Monitor and maintain clinical competencies and skills validations

  • Collaborate with DON/ADON and department heads on QAPI initiatives

  • Identify learning needs through audits, incidents, and performance trends

  • Support staff with mentorship and clinical guidance

  • Instruct CNA training course as needed for current staff

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in New York State

  • Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (preferred)

  • Previous education, training, or preceptor experience strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

  • Ability to engage, motivate, and support staff at all levels
