Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our skilled nursing facility. As a key member of our leadership team, the DON will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment for our staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing department, aligning with the facility's mission and goals.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

  • Conduct regular rounds to assess the quality of care and identify areas for improvement.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing nursing team, providing coaching and mentorship to support professional growth and development.

  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources to achieve departmental goals.

  • Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and respect among staff, patients, and families.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a skilled nursing setting.

  • Current RN license in the state of New Jersey.

  • Certification as a Director of Nursing (DON) or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire.
