Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities:

Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the nursing department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
Provides supervision of the clinical nursing team
Conduct regular rounds to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and evidence-based practices
Manage and mentor a team of nursing staff, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities
Responsible for ensuring clinical outcomes are within regulatory standards.

Director of Nursing (DON) Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois
Strong understanding of nursing practice, including federal and state regulations, and industry best practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
