A healthcare organization in the Bronx is seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support nursing leadership and ensure the highest standards of resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in overseeing clinical operations and maintaining quality care standards

  • Conduct weekly wound and skin assessments

  • Promote compliance with regulatory standards and ensure clear communication across all nursing levels

  • Address and manage the medical needs of residents

  • Participate in an on-call rotation (24/7 coverage as needed)

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and directing nursing services

  • Maintain strong working knowledge of nursing theory and clinical practices

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of medical documentation

  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff

  • Oversee daily staffing coordination

  • Monitor and support infection control protocols

  • Maintain schedule flexibility to meet operational demands

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a long-term care setting

  • Prior management experience (preferred)

  • Experience in staff education (preferred)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities

  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
