Position Overview:
A district in the Muskegon, MI area is seeking a dedicated School Nurse to support a medically complex student during transportation. This position involves riding the bus with the student in the morning and afternoon to ensure safe travel to and from school. This is a unique opportunity to provide critical, one-on-one care in a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ride the bus with a medically complex student during morning and afternoon routes
  • Provide direct medical support and monitoring during transportation
  • Ensure student safety and respond to medical needs as required
  • Collaborate with school staff and follow all care plans and protocols

Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • LPN/LVN may be considered pending IEP requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with medically complex children
  • Trach and/or ventilator experience strongly preferred

Additional Details:

  • Student is new to bus transportation
  • Medical needs and training requirements are being finalized
  • No daytime responsibilities currently required outside of bus support
  • Caseload and expectations to be confirmed during interview
