A well-established assisted living community is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead and enhance the quality of care across multiple locations. About the Role

The Director of Nursing will oversee all clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high standards of resident care within assisted living communities. This role requires strong leadership, knowledge of assisted living regulations, and a commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily clinical operations, ensuring excellent care for all residents.

  • Develop and implement personalized care plans based on individual resident needs.

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor nursing staff to build a strong and dependable team.

  • Ensure full compliance with New York State assisted living regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Work closely with families, physicians, and healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care.

  • Manage staffing schedules, clinical budgets, and medical supplies.

  • Lead quality assurance programs and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and resident-focused care environment.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in New York State required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in assisted living required.

  • Strong understanding of assisted living regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
