Take on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a School Registered Nurse, supporting students in a district setting near Waterflow, NM. This onsite role spans the 2026-2027 academic year, running from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers a 37.5-hour workweek. Two positions are available, with specific placement to be determined within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out comprehensive nursing duties in alignment with school health policies and New Mexico regulations
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with sound judgment
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive school health services
- Advocate for student wellness, promoting equitable access to health resources and services
- Use the nursing processassessment, planning, intervention, and evaluationto deliver high-quality care
- Identify and address health concerns that may affect learning, spanning physical, social, and psychological spheres
- Bridge communication between students, families, educational staff, healthcare providers, and community partners
Qualifications:
- Associates degree, bachelors degree, or higher in Nursing
- Active Registered Nurse license from the New Mexico Board of Nursing
- Current Professional School Nurse License from the State of New Mexico
