As a 1:1 School Nurse, youll work closely with a single student who has a tracheostomy, ensuring their health and safety both in the classroom and during transportation to and from school. Your presence and expertise will play a crucial role in empowering the student to fully participate in their educational journey.

Qualifications:

Valid Massachusetts RN or LPN license
Experience with pediatric patients, preferably with tracheostomy care
Commitment to maintaining clinical excellence in a school setting
Strong communication and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized care and monitoring for one student throughout the school day
Attend to the students medical needs, including trach care and emergency response
Ride the van with the student between home and school each day, ensuring safety and medical oversight during transit
Collaborate with educational staff, family members, and healthcare providers
Accurately document health status, interventions, and any medical occurrences

This assignment features a full-time Monday through Friday schedule, comprising 35-37.5 hours per week through June 22, 2026.
