You will work part-time hours (18.5-22.5 per week) during the ESY term, starting as soon as next week. With an itinerant approach, you'll rotate between students and school sites as a 1:1 nurse for medically fragile learners, supporting ages 422. Day-to-day responsibilities range from emergency response to comprehensive health planning, ensuring each student receives the individual care they need.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Active RN license in California and relevant school nursing experience
  • Background supporting students with significant medical needs, including but not limited to: gastronomy, bladder cauterization, diabetes management (insulin/CGA/carb counting), seizure support, administering medications, and responding to hypo/hyperglycemia
  • Confident working with ASD and developmental delays
  • Familiarity with writing and interpreting seizure/health care plans
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
  • Skilled communicator, able to train staff and partner with parents
