Registered Nurse School Setting - Cicero, NY

This position focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 care to a Kindergarten student with diabetes during the Summer Special Education Program, followed by the opportunity to continue through the next academic year.

This role begins July 6th and ends August 14th, with summer hours from Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 11:30am. If it’s a great match, you can look forward to returning for the 2026-2027 school year, September 8th to June 24th, with weekday hours from 9:15am to 3:45pm. Located near Cicero, NY, the position offers hourly pay between $40 and $50 an hour, depending on experience.

What you’ll do:

What you’ll need:

o Supervises nursing care in area of assignment. Provides 24/7 responsibility for managing human and material resources of nursing unit in conformance policies and procedures of Iroquois Nursing Home. (This includes awareness of all 3 shifts activities on the unit, including weekends). Assures quality of care by interpreting facility and nursing services standards of care, enforcing adherence to the state board of nursing and NYS RN practice requirements, and the NYS Department of Health regulations, to measure health outcomes against standards to address. Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional competence through educational programs. Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary, as well as in other positions as needed. Is subject to callback during emergency situations (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.). It is expected that the Nurse Manager will respond to emergency requests within a “reasonable amount of time”(generally 2 hours or less).
