 Position Overview

We are actively hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for 1:1 school nurse positions in Gig Harbor, WA. These are full-time, in-person healthcare roles supporting K12 students with individualized medical needs throughout the academic year.

 Assignment Details

  • Start Date: September 2
  • End Date: June 4 (NSY Next School Year)
  • Schedule: MondayFriday
  • Hours: 32.5 37.5 hours per week
  • Setting: K12 (assigned based on student needs)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care for students with specialized medical needs
  • Support students with:
    • Tracheostomy (Trach) and ventilator care
    • Wheelchair and mobility assistance
    • Diabetes monitoring and support
    • Seizure management and emergency care
    • G-tube (feeding tube) care
  • Assist with toileting and hygiene needs (required when applicable)
  • Accompany students during bus transportation if required
  • Accurately document care and monitor student health
  • Collaborate with staff and families to ensure safety and support
  • Follow all Washington State LPN standards and care guidelines

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License Washington State (required)
  • Experience in pediatric care, school nursing, or special needs care preferred
  • Ability and willingness to provide hands-on care, including toileting (required)
  • Comfortable working independently (no supervision provided)
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
