Valley Nursing Rehabilitation is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team.

Position Overview 

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) works closely with the Director of Nursing to support the daily operations of the nursing department while ensuring exceptional resident care and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, team-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist with overseeing daily nursing department operations  

  • Support, mentor, and supervise nursing staff to promote quality care and teamwork  

  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations  

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations  

  • Conduct audits, chart reviews, and quality assurance rounds  

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address resident needs and improve outcomes  

  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, and clinical oversight as needed  

  • Serve as acting Director of Nursing in the absence of the DON  

Qualifications 

  • Current and active RN license in [State]  

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred  

  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and clinical compliance standards  

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills  

  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced environment  

  • Passion for providing compassionate resident-centered care  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • BSN preferred  

  • Experience with infection prevention, QA, or staff development a plus
