Position Overview

The School Nurse will serve as the primary healthcare professional within the school, providing direct nursing care, managing student health needs, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student achievement.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing services and first aid to students and staff.
  • Assess and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Administer medications and maintain medication records in accordance with district and state guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs).

Qualifications

  • Active Delaware Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification..
