In this full-time, onsite position, you'll be supporting a vibrant educational community and creating a safe, healthy environment where young learners can flourish.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of New Hampshire
- School Nurse licensure through the Department of Education
- Experience working as an RN, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
- Must complete district fingerprinting requirements prior to start
- Comfort with a Monday through Friday schedule, full-time hours (37.5 per week)
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with students, staff, and families to ensure optimal health outcomes
- Compassion and commitment to serving a middle school population
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care, first aid, and health assessment for middle school students
- Develop and implement care plans for students with chronic conditions or medical needs
- Dispense medications per physicians instructions and maintain accurate health records
- Respond to medical emergencies promptly and coordinate referrals as needed
- Promote healthy habits through education and preventive care initiatives
- Liaise with teachers, administrators, and parents on student health concerns
- Support wellness initiatives and maintain a healthful school environment
- Participate in student care team meetings and IEP processes when necessary
