Step into a rewarding role supporting student health and well-being at a K-12 charter school serving about 500 students. This school-based contract position runs from August 3rd through May 29th, covering the full school year. Youll provide vital health services in a general health room setting with a focus on preventive care, triage, and student support.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license required
- Certification through the NM Department of Education to practice as a school nurse
- Experience in a school setting or working with children preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with educational staff
What Youll Do:
- Deliver direct clinical care to students across K-12, addressing acute needs and managing chronic conditions
- Maintain clear, detailed health records for students in compliance with school and state regulations
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, and other professionals to support each students physical and emotional health
- Participate in wellness initiatives, health screenings, and immunization tracking
- Maintain a safe, supportive health room environment for all students
