Position Details

  • Location: Philadelphia, PA
  • School Year: August 17, 2026 May 28, 2027
  • Schedule: Full-time, 37 hours per week
  • Contract: 1012 month assignment
  • Hours: School day ends at 3:45 PM
  • Schools Assigned: Primarily 1 school, with support provided at 2 additional nearby buildings as needed

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a building RN providing health room services and student nursing care.
  • Support primarily Pre-K through age 5 students.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and administrators to ensure students receive appropriate healthcare services.
  • Work in a school where all students communicate using American Sign Language (ASL).

Qualifications

  • Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience in pediatrics or school nursing is preferred but not required.
  • ASL knowledge is preferred, but candidates who are enthusiastic about learning sign language are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • The school is willing to provide interpreter support during onboarding while the RN develops ASL skills.
