A well-established skilled nursing facility in Norwalk, Ohio is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, knowledgeable RN leader who is passionate about providing exceptional resident care while supporting and developing a strong nursing team.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing operations.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain high standards of resident care and clinical quality.
Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff through coaching and education.
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical performance.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive resident outcomes.
Participate in quality assurance, infection prevention, and survey readiness initiatives.
Foster a positive, resident-centered culture throughout the facility.
Qualifications:
Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Long-Term Care (LTC) leadership experience strongly preferred.
Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience strongly preferred.
Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
Experience with state surveys and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to build relationships with residents, families, physicians, and staff.
