Make a direct impact on a young student's daily experience by providing dedicated 1:1 nursing support in a school setting. A contract position is available for a compassionate and skilled LPN/LVN to assist a preschooler requiring specialized care. This role extends from late August through early June, following the local school calendar.

You'll start each day by meeting the student at their home, riding the bus to and from school, and spending the school day at the early learning center in Langhorne. Your expertise with PRN suctioning, tube feeds, seizure care, and monitoring is vital for the student's well-being and participation in school life.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active state licensure as an LPN/LVN (non-negotiable)
  • At least one completed medical supervisor reference to be submitted with your application
  • Extensive comfort with vents, g-tubes, and trachs
  • Prior school nursing experience highly valued, particularly with preschool or pediatric populations
  • Commitment to timely and reliable attendance to match school hours
  • Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 care for a preschool student with complex medical needs, including suctioning and tube feeding as needed
  • Administer prescribed seizure protocols and monitor students health status throughout the school day
  • Accompany the student on the school bus both mornings and afternoons, monitoring and supporting medical needs in transit
  • Maintain detailed health records and liaise with the school healthcare team to ensure student safety
