Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Float to ER

Location: Walsenburg, CO

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift: Day shift

Hours: 36 hours per week

Estimated Gross Pay: $2,002 per week

Role Overview

This RN Med Surg Float ER contract is built for a versatile nurse who can confidently manage Med Surg patients while floating to the ER as needed. You’ll support a wide range of patient needs, maintain safety, and ensure accurate documentation across both units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Med Surg patient care including assessments, medication administration, and care planning

  • ER support during high‑acuity or overflow situations

  • Monitoring and documenting patient conditions with precision

  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care

  • Maintaining a safe, organized clinical environment

  • Communicating changes in patient status promptly and clearly

Contract Details

  • 13‑week assignment

  • 36 hours per week (typically three 12‑hour shifts)

  • Day shift schedule

  • Estimated gross pay: $2,002 per week

  • Extension opportunities may be available

Requirements

  • Active RN license

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med Surg experience

  • ER experience or comfort floating to ER strongly preferred

  • Strong communication, adaptability, and critical‑thinking skills
