Preferred Qualifications & Required Certifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Valid Public Health Nurse license
  • Current School Nurse license issued by the Board of Teaching
  • Up-to-date CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric nursing strongly preferred
  • Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills
  • Commitment to working fully on-site

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care and health assessments to K-12 students across five schools
  • Develop and implement individualized health care plans in collaboration with educators and families
  • Serve as a resource on health and wellness for students, staff, and administrators
  • Ensure compliance with state, district, and federal guidelines for student health
  • Respond rapidly to health emergencies and provide triage
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation
  • Facilitate health screenings, immunizations, and communicable disease control
  • Promote a safe, healthy environment for students and staff
