School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Seattle, Washington

If youre an experienced LPN interested in supporting students with complex medical needs, consider this full-time contract opportunity at a secondary school near Seattle, WA. This position allows you to make a direct impact in a students educational and daily life by providing dedicated 1:1 care, as well as collaborating with school staff on broader health and classroom support.

Youll work onsite throughout the full school year (August through June), averaging 37.5 hours per week, and will have the opportunity to build strong professional relationships within the school community.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active LPN license for Washington State
  • Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or medically fragile setting preferred
  • Ability to provide compassionate, reliable nursing care in a secondary school environment
  • Comfortable riding transportation with a student, as needed
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to support as a paraprofessional within a medically fragile classroom when required
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and other healthcare professionals

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing care for a student with medically fragile needs during school hours and transportation
  • Implement care plans in coordination with school nurse and healthcare team
  • Monitor medical conditions and respond promptly and appropriately to health emergencies
  • Document care provided, maintain accurate health records, and comply with school and health regulations
  • Assist classroom staff in supporting the broader needs of students with medical challenges
