
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Ventura, CA

This contract opportunity centers on a supportive elementary school environment, working directly with two students who have minor medical needs. Alongside providing attentive medical assistance, youll collaborate with classroom educators as a paraprofessional, fostering a nurturing and positive learning space throughout the full academic year.
Located onsite in a welcoming school setting, this part-time position offers approximately 25 hours each week, extending from August through June for the entire 26/27 school year. Youll be at the heart of a vibrant team environment, enhancing both the educational and healthcare experiences for these students.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid LVN license issued by the State of California
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is advantageous
- Compassionate communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Ability to multitask and support both medical and classroom needs
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and support in an educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver minor medical support and monitoring according to student care plans
- Assist the classroom as a paraprofessional, contributing to daily routines and activities
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
- Coordinate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents to address student needs
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to school protocols
