The Assistant Clinical Director will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Performs tasks as assigned by the designated leader
Staff development
Provides supervisor back-up for nursing departments when leadership is unavailable
management of key services in accordance with policies, procedures and current federal, state and local standards,
Works in cooperation with the Director of Nursing and Executive Director to ensure the care provided meets current standards of nursing/clinical practice
Ensure that adequate support is provided to Regional Managers
Ensures that all reporting (including QAPI) are turned in as required by policy and procedure,
Position exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving professional, administrative and supervisory problems within assigned areas,
Support intake department
Assist with monthly clinical invoices and other managerial duties.

The Hospice Registered Nurse is an experienced registered professional nurse who initiates and coordinates the hospice care plan plans, organizes, and directs hospice care and is experienced in nursing, with emphasis on community health education/experience. The professional nurse builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individual and families within their homes and communities. Essential Job Responsibilities: The RN provides care to patients who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. The Hospice RN regularly reviews and updates the plan of care. Performs prescribed medical treatments, including pain management and symptom control, conducts assessments and evaluations, provides education and supportive care to patient and family. Completes an initial, comprehensive, and ongoing assessments of patient and family to determine hospice needs. Provides a complete physical assessment and history of current and previous illness(es). Provides professional nursing care by utilizing all elements of nursing process. Assesses and evaluates patient’s status by: Writing and initiating plan of care, regularly re-evaluating patient and family/caregiver needs, participating in revising the plan of care as necessary. Uses health assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis. Develops a care plan that establishes goals, based on nursing diagnosis, and incorporates palliative nursing actions. Includes the patient and the family in the planning process. Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician in the physician’s plan of care. Counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs.
