
Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
$2,967 / week
American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a circulating position requiring 2 years of experience and Level I Trauma background for first-time travelers.
Job details:
- Circulating RN role in the CVOR unit of a short-term acute care hospital (scrubbing not required)
- Cardiovascular OR setting supporting heart and lung transplant, aortic dissection, and ECMO cases
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Call requirement of approximately 100 hours per 6 weeks, including 1 call weekend per 6 weeks (Friday evening through Monday morning)
- Required to float to other OR specialties within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals
- Uses Cerner charting system
Requirements:
- Active IN or compact RN license required (temporary IN license accepted)
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
- First-time travelers accepted if they have Level I Trauma experience
- Cardiovascular and aortic aneurysm repair skills required
- Level I Trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- 2 supervisor references required
- Nursing degree must be from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional information:
- Perform circulating RN duties supporting complex cardiovascular procedures including transplants and aortic repairs
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved, additional time off requires facility approval
- In-state (Indiana) residents are considered local and may be offered a lower pay rate for this Surgical Services position
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply with qualifying Level I Trauma experience
- Any past permanent or PRN employee of this health system must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of employment within this health system must take a designated break to reset eligibility: 90 days for out-of-state residents or 180 days for in-state residents
- All travelers are required to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
