This contract position offers hands-on experience for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work within a school setting near Lakewood, WA. Youll be part of a collaborative team, providing essential care either in float roles across the school or in dedicated 1:1 assignments, depending on daily needs.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current, active LPN license for Washington State
- Prior experience or strong comfort level working with children or adolescents
- Skill set covering G-tube care, diabetes management, and epilepsy support; familiar with additional mild to moderate medical conditions
- Strong communication and organization skills for seamless collaboration with school staff, students, and families
- Adaptable and dependable with a compassionate approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in either floating capacity or designated 1:1 assignments, based on student needs
- Provide medical support such as G-tube feeds, diabetic monitoring and interventions, and seizure management as required
- Oversee routine medication administration, health assessments, documentation, and implementation of care plans
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school administration to promote a safe, inclusive environment for students needing medical support
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with all state and district policies
Role Details:
- Onsite position based at one school
- Full-time, 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday
- Spanning the full 2026/2027 school year (August to June)
