School Registered Nurse (RN) in Cambridge, MA

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Massachusetts
  • Experience as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing preferred
  • Strong communication skills with both children and adults
  • Familiarity with typical school health office duties (medication administration, first aid, chronic condition management)
  • Ability to build positive relationships in an elementary school setting
  • Basic computer skills for health documentation and communication

Core Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to daily student health needs, from minor injuries to medication distribution
  • Monitor, document, and communicate changes in students’ health status
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies and regulations
  • Promote healthy practices within the school community through health education and prevention initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure the well-being of each student
  • Manage required health records and prepare reports as needed
