Job Description

Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
  • Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
  • Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
  • Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
  • Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
  • Records patient vital signs and medical information.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification.


Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
  • Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area.
  • ACLS certification.

May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing Active RN license in the state BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit Strong communication skills, verbal and written PRN Requirement: 6-8 shifts per month Pay Range: $48.00 -$50.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
