Step into a vital role supporting student health and wellness in a nurturing school environment. This contract opportunity is based at a single school site in Milwaukee, WI, conveniently located near Brookfield. The assignment runs from orientation on August 25, 2026, through June 15, 2027, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You'll provide essential care in the schools Health Room, working closely with children and adolescents to address health needs, promote safety, and contribute to an uplifting educational experience.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
  • Current CPR and AED certification
  • At least one year of experience in pediatrics is preferred
  • Physically capable of performing duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Valid Wisconsin drivers license required
  • Must have practiced as an RN within the last two years or completed a refresher course in the past year

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care for students with acute illnesses or injuries and manage chronic medical conditions
  • Maintain accurate health records and administer medications per physician orders
  • Develop and implement individualized health care plans
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student well-being
  • Respond promptly to health emergencies and participate in crisis response as needed
  • Educate staff and students on health practices and safety protocols
