A Brief Overview

This position is dual support for both Philadelphia and King of Prussia

campuses. Candidates are required to have two (2) recent years of pediatric inpatient ICU experience (NICU/PICU/CICU). Shift and schedule details directly below.


The Clinical Nurse Float Pool I is a clinically competent practitioner of pediatric, family-centered nursing. The nurse, at this level, provides safe nursing care to the general unit population ICU, Medical, Surgical, and at least 1 specialty area as defined in Supplemental Staffing Nursing Policy, with minimal guidance and bases practice on identified principles and standards of care.

Minimum Total Hours: 48 hours per 6 week schedule period (0.175 FTE)
Weekend Requirement: 24 hours per 6 week schedule period

"High Request" Days: 1 per year

What you will do

  • 1.Nursing Practice
  • Follows Nursing Process to deliver safe care: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

  • Manages care of complex patients utilizing proper prioritization and delegation to appropriate staff.
  • Identifies expected outcomes, revises plan of care when unexpected outcomes arise, and begins to use full range of communication as a means of conveying plan.
  • Documents ongoing evaluation and effectiveness of patient care utilizing current hospital standards, policies, and procedures.

Portable monitoring during patient transport is provided. We're seeking a PT Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program (PRTF) for adolescent females and males at our West Chester, PA location. Our programs provide clinical treatment, educational instruction and behavioral intervention services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community. #sponsored Qualifications EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., Diploma or A.D. Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. EXPERIENCE: One year of post-education nursing experience preferred. Candidates should have experience with individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral challenges or medically complex conditions. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines. Valid driver's license must be maintained.
