Qualifications:

Active RN license in New Jersey (NJ RN License required)
Prior experience in school nursing is mandatory
Knowledgeable in public health practices as they relate to schools
Ability to work independently and adjust to new school environments quickly
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse groups
Current certifications in CPR and First Aid highly preferred

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing care for student injuries, illnesses, and chronic health needs
Administer medications, manage acute and routine medical issues, and document care provided
Maintain student health records with confidentiality and precision
Collaborate with educators and families to support student health plans and wellness initiatives
Provide health education to students and staff as needed
Respond promptly to health emergencies and follow district protocols
Float between schools within the district as assigned
