Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active RN license in California, in good standing
Experience with school nursing or pediatric care is highly valued
Knowledge of legal and best practice standards for school-based nursing

Able to work independently as a 1:1 support, with sensitivity to the needs of visually impaired students
Strong organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to changing student needs

Key Responsibilities:

Accompany and monitor the assigned student throughout the school day, providing 1:1 clinical care as needed
Perform health assessments and administer medications or treatments according to student’s care plan
Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in compliance with school and legal policies
Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
Act promptly and calmly in emergency situations, employing evidence-based protocols
