Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid certification or licensure as a Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN) in the United States.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in women's health or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care standards.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience specifically in obstetrics and gynecology or women's health care.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) where applicable.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide patient education effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments specific to women's health.
  • Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant clinical information accurately.
  • Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as directed by licensed practitioners.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans tailored to women's health needs.
  • Coordinate patient flow and manage appointment scheduling to optimize clinic efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices.
