Our Adolescent Inpatient Psych Unit is hiring for a full-time day shift position! The RN for this unit delivers care to children and adolescents with complex behavioral and emotional needs. The Registered Nurse in our Behavioral Health Department supports two primary areas: the Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and the Behavioral Health Access Center, (Psychiatric Holding Unit). RNs have the opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team and are involved in the treatment planning and implementation of therapeutic interventions specific to each patient’s goals. As a Registered Nurse in Adolescent Psych compassion, leading nursing enrichment activities, establishing therapeutic boundaries, and being comfortable deescalating situations are all necessary components of patient care. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).    
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.     
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

The Assistant Nurse Manager with Admissions in Behavioral Health assists the Behavioral Health Director in the overall leadership, coordination, and supervision of nursing services within the Behavioral Health unit. This role supports the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals experiencing behavioral health and psychiatric conditions. The Assistant Nurse & Admission Manager collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow and operational effectiveness. In addition, this position performs clinical admission duties, including intake assessment, triage, as well as coordinating efficient workflows. The position also serves as a behavioral health resource to internal hospital departments by providing education, clinical guidance, and support related to behavioral health services and admission processes. This position requires an active Registered Nurse license and experience conducting behavioral health assessments, evaluating patients for admission, and applying behavioral health admission criteria.
