The AOD/Nurse Supervisor maintains oversight of unit based Clinical Service lines in identified building in order to ensure quality, integrity, and excellence of treatment delivered in a fiscally responsible manner; plans and develops program goals and directs efforts towards meeting goals; provides support, direction, and supervision of assigned staff; manages response to patient/family complaints or grievances; develops services and programs to ensure financial viability and regulatory compliance; supports marketing, development, and community relations activities.

Qualifications

Requirements:  

  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing or 10 years of behavioral health experience and ASN. 18 months in clinical, managerial and administrative experience preferred. 2 years in psychiatric direct patient care nursing., Master's Degree is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations.  
  • An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.  
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 10% of the time.

Supervises and coordinates CNAs and LPNs in providing direct resident care in adherence to State and Federal guidelines. Receive telephone orders from physicians, transcribe orders and record in the electronic health record, and prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered by the provider. Educate residents and their loved ones to understand the condition, medications, and self-care skills. Promote continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Ensure nursing supply and equipment maintenance needs are met. The ability to be a flexible, caring, supportive team member Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse ( RN) in the state of Delaware or have a COMPACT LICENSE CPR Certification preferred Experience is preferred in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing.
