Qualifications/Experience:

  • Valid Illinois RN license
  • Experience as an RN in schools or pediatric settings preferred
  • Skilled in tracheostomy monitoring and airway management
  • Comfort with 1:1 care and ability to work independently
  • Compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 care for a high school student (female), including trach monitoring and suctioning as necessary
  • Monitor overall health and swiftly respond to medical needs during the school day
  • Collaborate with educators and other stakeholders for student safety and success
  • Complete all required charting and maintain clear communication with family and school staff
  • Maintain a consistent schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
