Key Qualifications:

  • Confidence and sensitivity in monitoring and responding to chronic illnesses, seizure disorders, diabetes, asthma, allergies, and complex neurological conditions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Role Highlights and Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, attentive nursing care while riding the bus with students to ensure their safety and wellbeing en route to school
  • Monitor students with significant health conditions, including seizure disorders, respiratory challenges, and mobility limitations
  • Administer medications or interventions as needed, including seizure rescue medications, EpiPen for allergies, and oxygen therapy
  • Collaborate with school health staff and transportation personnel to support continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with school and state protocols
