School Registered Nurse | Lawrence, Massachusetts

Make an impact each morning by providing essential support to exceptional students as a bus-riding LPN/RN for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity offers a meaningful way to use your nursing expertise while working a consistent, manageable schedule. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of a small group of students during their morning transportation to school, making a direct difference as they start their day.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current, active LPN or RN license in Massachusetts
  • At least one year of experience as a nurse, preferably in pediatrics, school nursing, or with medically complex children
  • Strong clinical skills, especially with seizure management (Valtoco PRN), g-tubes, O2 sat monitoring, oral suctioning, and allergy interventions (EpiPen)
  • Calm, observant, and reliable—able to monitor students with chronic conditions, developmental challenges, mobility needs, and complex medication regimens
  • Professional communication skills and adaptability for a dynamic environment

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ride the morning bus with the designated student group, start time 6:15 AM at the Virginia Barton Education Center
  • Provide vigilant oversight of students with conditions such as cerebral palsy, Angelman syndrome, epilepsy, asthma, and more
  • Deliver clinical interventions as needed (g-tube care, Valtoco/EpiPen/O2 administration, suctioning, etc.)
  • Maintain a caring, supportive presence and clear communication with educational staff and families
  • Attend to safety, comfort, and medical requirements throughout the journey
