School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Cambridge, Massachusetts

The schedule is approximately 7.5 hours per week, providing a specialized and focused commitment. Morning pick-up starts at 6:15 AM at a designated local educational center, with return around 7:45 AM. Your presence will directly impact the students' well-being as you monitor and assist children ages 3-21 with diverse health conditions, from seizure management to g-tube care and more.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts LPN or RN license (required)
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably with children or individuals with medically complex needs
  • Confidence in providing g-tube care, seizure medication (Valtoco PRN), suctioning, and oxygen monitoring
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, reassuring presence

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and care for students with a range of medical needs during the morning school bus run
  • Administer emergency interventions as needed (e.g., Valtoco, EpiPen, oxygen)
  • Work collaboratively with transportation and educational staff to maintain a safe environment
  • Document care and communicate any concerns to the appropriate personnel

This contract extends through June 2027, allowing you to build lasting relationships and make a meaningful difference over several school years.
