The ideal candidate will be joining a team of experienced, friendly, and highly motivated healthcare providers, clinicians, and support staff who are dedicated to delivering excellent care to their patients and community.

Position Duties/Highlights Include:

  • Join the practice of 3 APP’s and 3 physicians
  • Call: Telephone call only, rotated
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Services available onsite: Laboratory, Behavioral Health via telemedicine
  • Office Hours:
    • Primary Care: Monday – Friday 8a-5p

Standard Qualifications:

Education / Training:  

  1. Master’s degree in nursing OR master’s degree in physician assistant studies

  1. State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required.

Reviews audiometric and spirometry screening and biological monitoring done through the clinic. Perform the monitoring of these requested screenings and the interpretation of the results and arrange appropriate follow up of abnormal findings as necessary. Works with the Medical Director to ensure that the program operates in a manner consistent with appropriate medical policy and current professional standards in Occupational Medicine. Provides input into and participates in the development, implementation and revision of policies and procedures affecting medical practice, judgment, and quality of occupational health care. Works closely with support staff to maintain efficient, well-run clinic, including teaching them to provide better patient care and better medical staff assistance. Assists in establishment of and responsible in the participation of routine and episodic quality assurance processes and implementation of resultant recommendations. Participates in the development and presentation of educational programs to the program and clinic staff as directed by supervising physician. Upholds and promotes personnel policies and procedures. Job Description Join Munson Healthcare’s Urology Team! General Summary: Munson Healthcare’s Bay Area Urology group is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our collaborative team and provide high-quality, patient centered care. The Urology Advance Practice Provider will work with Munson Urology physicians to care for patients, improve office efficiency, consultation, follow up availability, and inpatient care. This is a weekend position , offering a consistent Saturday, Sunday, Monday schedule with three 10-hour shifts (.75 FTE). Evaluates and reviews the plan of care at regularly scheduled office visits utilizing sound clinical judgment based on assessment of physical, psychological, emotional, societal and environmental needs of the patients. Manages patient care in the outpatient setting performing comprehensive history and physical examinations, ordering appropriate lab and radiographic studies, interpreting lab and x-ray results, performing in office procedures, managing urology medications, making treatment decisions, and determining appropriate follow up. Provides inpatient care for hospitalized patients, including admissions, daily rounds, procedures, consultations, discharge planning, and coordination of care with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes. Completes appropriate documentation of all evaluations, care, and services rendered in the electronic medical record to accurately reflect services in the patient record and to ensure appropriateness of billing. Communicates with referring or primary care physicians regarding patient care and treatment. Responds to telephone inquiries from clinic patients and provides appropriate medical care and/or counseling. Assists individuals to assume responsibility for the prevention of illness and the promotion of health maintenance and/or restoration of health. Observes the Munson Healthcare Advance Practice Provider prescriptive authority guidelines. Maintains knowledge of current medical trends and ongoing professional development in pertinent medical fields. Participates in and / or serves as a resource for medical, nursing, and community education programs. Meets department productivity requirements. Recognizes and understands the need for full daily schedules. Independently monitors own daily appointment schedule and works in conjunction with other staff members to fill open appointment times. Qualifications Education / Training: Master's Degree in Nursing OR a Masters in Physician Assistant studies Work Experience : Urology experience is preferred but not required. Certification, Licensure, Registration : State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required.
