Step into a full-time, onsite contract position as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) supporting students and nursing teams across four school locations in the Elgin, IL area. In this essential flex role, youll work alongside dedicated onsite RN nurses, providing valuable support at one middle school and three elementary schools. Your focus will be on collaborating during IEP meetings, creating medical emergency plans, and responding wherever your expertise is most needed among the schoolsall of which have full-time RNs already in place.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as a resource and support for onsite RN staff
  • Participating in and contributing to IEP meetings with students, families, and educators
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized medical emergency plans
  • Collaborating with the school health teams to ensure students needs are met
  • Providing guidance on best practices for student health and safety

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) license
  • Previous experience as a school nurse or RN (preferred but not required)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Organized, flexible, and able to work across multiple locations
  • Commitment to promoting student health and well-being
