American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum position requiring active MA licensure and specialized obstetric certifications. Job details: - 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit including L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, 2 ORs, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds - Unit includes 5 LD rooms and 12 PP beds with average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients - Patient ratios: L&D 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural patients; PP 1:3-4 - Uses EPIC EMR for charting - Day rotate schedule with rotation to evenings and nights as needed, plus one night of call and every other weekend - No floating required - 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options available Requirements: - Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted) - Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing experience required - Current AHA BLS, NRP, and EFM certifications (EFM renewal every 2 years) - AHA ACLS preferred - Skilled in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, circulating, and newborn care - Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional information: - Provide direct patient care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery areas - Local candidates accepted; those residing within 60 miles of the facility will receive a reduced rate - Primary source verification of license and certifications required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration - Parking is not validated at Boston locations; public transportation or paid parking lots are available
