Job Responsibilities

As an HHA/PCA, you will provide essential personal care and daily living assistance to clients in their homes.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Providing assistance with mobility, transfers, and walking
Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
Performing light housekeeping and laundry
Providing medication reminders as permitted by the care plan
Offering companionship and emotional support
Assisting with errands and grocery shopping when authorized
Observing and reporting changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate supervisor
Following individualized care plans and agency policies
Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment

Qualifications

Valid New York State HHA or PCA certification
Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and instructions
Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism
Reliable transportation is preferred
Previous home care experience is a plus
