We are currently hiring for an RN - Orthopedic/Surgical position! This is a .7 FTE with Evening/Night shifts, requiring 12 hour shifts every third weekend (Saturday & Sunday). Current RN License Required. Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience is preferred. An RN position in the Orthopedic/Surgical Unit at Gillette Children's involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients under 18 who are recovering from surgery and require an inpatient stay of one or more nights. In addition to post-surgical care, nurses in this unit also care for non-surgical patients needing medical treatment that requires a short hospital stay. RNs in this role collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to manage pain, wound care, and recovery, while also educating families about the treatment process. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate, family-centered approach to care. This position exists to administer family-centered nursing care to patients, advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and/or provide skilled assistance in navigation of the health care system as appropriate to the developmental, cultural, emotional, and medical, surgical, or rehabilitative needs of the patient and their families. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, family-centered nursing care that supports optimal patient outcomes. You’ll conduct thorough assessments, create individualized and evidence-based care plans, implement interventions, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team. You’ll practice autonomously, using sound judgment and incorporating evidence-based improvements into daily work while supervising and delegating appropriately. Compensation & Benefits Information The hourly wage for this opportunity is $41.22-$70.45. Pay is dependent on several factors including number of hours worked within the field, education, and certification/licensure: $1.75 weekends/ $2.35 evenings/ $4.00 nights differential is available for this position.
