Actively participates in department activities; attends departmental meetings; actively participates as a team member in resolution of problems as they are identified; analyzes current procedures. Responsible to dispose Bio-Hazardous waste and regular waste per practice protocol. Job Summary Medical Assistant (MA): Gathers, screens, communicates and acts based on delegation from a provider, registered nurse or Licensed Practical nurse as per scope of practice. Performs a combination of clerical and direct patient care duties. Greets patients, answers telephones, schedules appointments, and updates patients electronic medical record (EMR).
